Am I the only one who feels like Pixar trailers as of lately have been giving away more of the movies than they have in the past? Especially with Wall-E, I felt like I had seen most of the first act by the time the movie came out... and now Up. I've stopped watching the trailers for it. >.<

I seem to recall pixar teasing us more back in the day....

Maybe it's because of Disney owning them? Who knows. Trailers usually give away a lot, it's not just Pixar movies. The worst trailer to me is still the one for "Cast Away". That just gave away everything. A good one was for Cloverfield. I loved the whole marketing route they took.

Oh yea, I know trailers have always done it, just felt like Pixar was the exception to the rule. ;-) And I don't think we can just blame it on Disney... I mean, isn't Lasseter ultimately running the show?

Good question, I don't know. Usually outside companies cut trailers together and submit them to the director/studio for approval. So yeah, someone has to approve it.

Incredibles, Cars, and Ratatouille all had trailers that were scenes not in the movie, specially made just for the trailer. I just miss those, thats all.

Ah okay, those were teasers though. Full theatrical trailers do give away a lot. Remember the Japanese Incredibles trailer? That was a good one!
